For three years now, Zoe And Thomas travel across Quebec to talk to us about the environment on social media The alternator , a project powered by Hydro-Québec . We took the time to meet them so they could tell us a little about this crazy project.

Aware, but not necessarily activists for the environmental cause before the start of The alternator , they do not claim to know everything, but are invested by the mission of learning more on the subject. It is therefore possible to evolve with them, during their videos, to inform ourselves in a super relaxed way and to take action on changes to be made in our daily lives.

From tours of hydroelectric power plants in James Bay to more informative videos on various environmental topics, participation in festivals, and quiz sessions, they never preach moralizing about choices for more responsible consumption. Instead, the two content creators use their platform to showcase the progress of their research on topics related to the environment and climate, sustainable consumption, and the energies of the future, and to mobilize people to take action for the environmental cause.

We find their capsule collection on the fashion industry particularly interesting. It gives us a better understanding of the environmental impact of different types of textile fibers. And we're happy to be able to offer a range of clothing made from organic cotton fibers and recycled polyester.

During our conversation, we also took the time to ask them how their eco-anxiety was going! As the channel's devil's advocate, Thomas pointed out that even though our eco-anxiety can be shaken by so much information, it's calming for the mind to have access to an alternative and concrete vision of the ecological transition.
